Revisit Your Holiday Leftovers
If you don’t feel like opening your fridge and seeing yet another slice of Yule log when your freezer (and pants) are already bursting at the seams, then it’s your lucky day! In partnership with our Food Fight program, the chef Bobby from Atelier du goût wants to share some inventive recipes with you so you can give your leftovers a second chance. Time to grab your apron!
Hummus and onion flat bread
Try Frida’s dip variations to help you get more vegetable protein in your diet: traditional hummus, baba ganoush and roasted bell pepper spread. These classics are prepared by collecting pieces of vegetables from the fridge. All served with homemade onion flatbread – tender, warm, and just right for a cozy day at home… Mmm!
Reducing your environmental impact also goes for your closet
I can’t speak for you, but since the pandemic started, I’ve come to master the art of filling carts on multiple low-cost clothing sites. Recently, I started questioning the impact that my consumption of clothing—which could be labelled fast fashion—has on the environment. What really happens when you buy cheap clothing from across the world?
Enjoy growing fresh herbs in the winter
Summer is always a great time to garden in outdoor spaces or turn your balcony into a green oasis. This year, I even took part in a few webinars on urban gardening and found out tons of useful information. Then when fall arrived, I wanted to keep experimenting with my garden and let’s face it—I just didn’t want to give up the pots of fresh herbs that I had appreciated so much over the summer!
Rescued tomatoes sauce and fresh orecchiette
Autumn is just around the corner, and the change of colours makes me crave almost daily for my favourite fruits: tomatoes. This recipe is intended to rescue not very fresh tomatoes and transform them into a tasty pasta sauce. A fresh home-made pasta recipe is proposed but feel free to use as well regular bought pasta…Especially that forgotten portion still lying in the fridge!
Spinach soup and garlic tofu
I have always loved spinach, either fresh in salad or cooked on a pie, still I often find them about to rot in the corner of the fridge. To avoid this tragic end, how about transforming them into a healthy and delicious soup accompanied by garlic tofu!
